EVALUATED SHOWSThe categories will be:
- Beginner Solo
- Intermediate Solo
- Advanced Solo
- Professional Solo
- Doubles
- Groups
These performances can be Oriental Dance or Tribal / Fusion.
The Evaluated Shows will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - it is extremely important that you are present on time, preferably with make up and hair made up and ready to put on your costume. Your collaboration is essential for the event to take place on time.
The music time limit for the evaluated shows is 4 minutes.
In the DUETS and GROUPS category, the amount must be divided by the number of participants, with €35 or €50 being the final amount to be paid.
The international dancer Sadie will only evaluate the professional category. The national dancer Rita Pereira will only evaluate the beginner level. All other professionals will evaluate all categories.
To participate in the competition, it is mandatory to register for at least 1 workshop.HAFLA
Hafla will be held on May 23, 2025 and will start at 9:00 p.m. and the doors will open to guests at 8:40 p.m. It is extremely important that participants are ready before 8:30 p.m. and that guests arrive before the performances begin.
The music time limit for Hafla is 4 minutes.WORKSHOPS
The Workshops will take place on May 24th and 25th, 2025.

The Gala Show will take place on May 24, 2025 and will start at 9 pm and the doors will open to the public at 8:30 pm. We kindly ask that you respect the time so that we can be punctual when starting the show.CONTEST
The contest will take place on May 23, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm. The categories will be:

- Intermediate Solo

- Folklore/Popular Solo
- Oriental/Fusion Group
The time limit for each song is 3 minutes. If it goes over, the song will be cut.
Our competition will not have a grading system. Each jury will select the first, second and third places according to the evaluation requirements, level and proposal of each choreography.We only have 10 places for each category.
The international dancer Sadie will judge the intermediate, advanced, professional and group categories. The national dancer Rita Pereira will evaluate the beginner and popular/folklore categories. All other professionals will evaluate all categories.
The prizes will be announced soon on our social media.
To participate in the competition, it is mandatory to register for at least 1 workshop.
We at Stage consider PROFESSIONAL dancers to be those who already work as teachers and/or professional dancers, who perform at festivals, events, restaurants and bars and give classes, and are paid for this. It does not apply to people who occasionally danced in these places at the invitation of their teachers, people who do not yet have a professional technical level but who, by invitation, have already had these opportunities to perform. If this is your case, we suggest that you register in the ADVANCED category. Stage always aims to be fair, and we think this rule within the competition is more viable, given the recurring situations related to the theme in other festivals.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING MUSIC (Evaluated Show, Competition and Hafla) is May 8, 2025. We kindly ask that you respect this date and that you send your music by email (stage.evolution.fest@gmail.com) with the description in the format: "category_yourname_position.mp3" (indicating whether the performance is to start on stage or off stage).
Participation in the event implies consent for the use of images of the participants (photos and videos) for promotional purposes on social media.
If a student of one of the judges participates in the competition, the judge will be replaced by another professional.PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
We will have professional photography and filming on all 3 days. The use of cell phones and personal cameras will be permitted. We only ask that you do not use flash so as not to lose the quality of the professional work, as well as that you use common sense and do not raise your cell phones above your head or in a way that disturbs other people who are nearby watching the shows.
In case of cancellation, there will be no refund. If something unexpected happens and the event cannot take place, all money will be refunded in full by the organization.
It is essential that payment is made as soon as you make the purchase on the website and send proof of payment to the email: stage.evolution.fest@gmail.com - your registration will only be confirmed upon payment, sending proof of payment and signing up on the website. Stage Evolution 3rd Edition will be held at VIP Executive Art's Hotel - Av. Dom João II 47, 1998-028 Lisbon. If you want to stay at the hotel, ask for the event code when sending proof of payment to receive a discount.
